Happy Friday!

Brrrr – what a chilly week it has been! Fortunately for the Burlington real estate market, these dropping temperatures aren’t affecting market activity.

Both buying and selling agents have started the year off strong, with many people looking to make a move in 2015. This is coming off the heels of a strong December market, as reported by the Realtors Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB), the area’s association for real estate agent.

December hadn’t seen such a flurry of activity since 2009. RAHB reports a 7.6 per cent increase in sales compared to December last year, with seasonally adjusted sales of residential properties were 4.4 per cent higher than the same month in 2013. The average days on market decreased from 51 to 45 days, a further indicator of the market’s strength.

Whether you’re just thinking about selling or ready to make a move now, it’s a fantastic time to participate in the Burlington real estate market. Get started by taking a look at our open houses, a great way to see what’s out there and learn about the market.

There are four fantastic open houses across Burlington and Flamborough on Sunday, January 18th from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. See below for more details.
